Miyahuna runs integrated comprehensive studies to evaluate the water and sewage networks condition for the purpose of the future planning to these networks in Amman and to improve the water supply. In 2007, survey works were performed in Southern Amman areas and other areas in addition to the locations of implementing the big investment projects and residential towers within the comprehensive planning project of Greater Amman. In addition, the sewage lines buried under the valleys were located to prepare a study to remove them to the streets.
To improve the water networks in Amman, Miyahuna studied and implemented a number of water projects valued at (14) million Jordanian Dinars in 2007. Such projects included replacement of home damaged connection pipes, new expansion services for the citizens and the Housing Corporation housing projects, as well as the private projects executed by the private sector, and the government through the Amman Municipality, Ministry of Housing and Public Works and the Ministry of Information & Communications Technology. In addition, Miyahuna implemented a number of projects to update the networks of villages in Southern and Western Amman, move main lines from the citizens' lands, as well as improving the operational situation in summer seasons. The sewage projects are estimated in (5) million Jordanian Dinars for new sewage connections, move sewage lines and solve the problem of unhealthy conditions of the system. |
