an Water Company - Miyahuna LLC is a national company fully owned by the Jordanian government, represented by the Water Authority of Jordan. It is responsible for providing water and sanitation services to the Central Governorates (Amman, Zarqa, Madaba, and Balqa). It acts on behalf of the Water Authority of Jordan in these governorates, managing and operating water and sanitation systems since 2007, gradually assuming its responsibilities as follows:

· It took over the management, operation, and water saving and sanitation services in the Capital Governorate based on an Assignment and development agreement with the Water Authority of Jordan in 2007.

· In 2013, it assumed the management and operation of water and sanitation for Madaba Governorate through a management contract, followed by annexing Madaba Governorate into the company's service areas at the beginning of 2018.

· Similarly, Zarqa Governorate was added in 2020, and Balqa Governorate in 2021.

Since its establishment and assumption of water and sanitation system services, Miyahuna Company has been striving to achieve targeted performance indicators, most notably raising the level of services provided, increasing water supply quantities, and reducing non-revenue water.

The service area of Miyahuna Company covers 14,718 square kilometers in the four governorates, serving over a million water subscribers within its spatial scope. It encompasses several drinking water treatment plants, notably the Zai and Ma'in water treatment plants, along with various water sources and pumping stations.

The company ensures the highest levels of service quality, rapid response to complaints, and reduction of water losses. It also monitors the quality of drinking water, ensuring its compliance with standards through its central laboratories, which conduct intensive control and operational programs on water quality at all stages, from sources to distribution networks, to ensure compliance with Jordanian standards and international accreditation from the UK Accreditation Service (UKAS).

Miyahuna Company supervises major projects in its affiliated governorates and aims to improve the water supply system through projects rehabilitating water networks and reducing non-revenue water (NRW) by an equivalent of 2% annually.
